Summary

A spill。 A smear。 A smudge。 A tear。 When you think you have made a mistake, think of it as an opportunity to make something beautiful!

A life lesson that all parents want their children to learn: It’s OK to make a mistake。 In fact, hooray for mistakes! A mistake is an adventure in creativity, a portal of discovery。 A spill doesn’t ruin a drawing—not when it becomes the shape of a goofy animal。 And an accidental tear in your paper? Don’t be upset about it when you can turn it into the roaring mouth of an alligator。

An award winning, best-selling, one-of-a-kind interactive book, Beautiful Oops! shows young readers how every mistake is an opportunity to make something beautiful。 A singular work of imagination, creativity, and paper engineering, Beautiful Oops! is filled with pop-ups, lift-the-flaps, tears, holes, overlays, bends, smudges, and even an accordion “telescope”—each demonstrating the magical transformation from blunder to wonder。

This is a great book for any kid that loves making art。 The overall message is to encourage kids to see something beautiful out of what would normally be considered ruined。 Little people have a hard time when creations don't go as planned, but this book have help them start to see these as treasures。 This is a great book for any kid that loves making art。 The overall message is to encourage kids to see something beautiful out of what would normally be considered ruined。 Little people have a hard time when creations don't go as planned, but this book have help them start to see these as treasures。 。。。more

This board book with many flaps gives interesting and inspirational examples of how an "oops" can be turned into something beautiful。 Torn paper becomes a crocodile's mouth, a smear becomes a picture of a frog。 Use to encourage creativity and resilliance。 Possible tie-in with art and writing projects。 This board book with many flaps gives interesting and inspirational examples of how an "oops" can be turned into something beautiful。 Torn paper becomes a crocodile's mouth, a smear becomes a picture of a frog。 Use to encourage creativity and resilliance。 Possible tie-in with art and writing projects。 。。。more

Kinda fun, but not for your typical board book audience。 I suggest age 6 and up

Angela

Engaging, interactive, lift the flap and so much more。 Encourages seeing mistakes as opportunities rather than failures。

Beautiful Oops is about turning mistakes into something new! Messing up does not mean that things are ruined, and this book does an excellent job presenting it in a very creative and interesting way。 It is a captivating book that is highly relevant to helping children learn to adapt to unforeseen happenings。

Great to read to young children , definitely agree with the lesson being taught in this sweet story。

Chinook

This is such a great little book。 Even though it’s probably aimed at a slightly younger audience, even Kait was charmed and interested in all the interactive pages。 A great message too about appreciating and learning from mistakes, which can be hard for Kait sometimes。

This book is must have!!! This book teaches children never to cry over spilt milk。 Any mistake can be fixed and for me that is an amazing lesson that everyone needs to learn at some point in life。 Most pieces of great art have been created because of an accident。

For the recovering perfectionist in all of us。。。。。Designed like a board book, but the pages have a lot of complexity (flaps and other constructions), so it's not necessarily for the youngest hands。 For the recovering perfectionist in all of us。。。。。Designed like a board book, but the pages have a lot of complexity (flaps and other constructions), so it's not necessarily for the youngest hands。 。。。more

This book shows us that mistakes can be made into something beautiful, if only we look at them in a different way。 This is a very fun, unique book with tears, flaps, peek-through holes, bent corners, and more。

Adorable and imaginative ways to make the most of mistakes on paper

Neither me or my toddler are into it。 The flaps are confusing to use。 It is a creative book though。
